When I started Selling on eBay, I was using a Mac IIci. It was 1990 something and we didn’t have a lot of money. OK, we were broke.

I had just returned from a buying trip in Texarkana, Texas. I went there to buy some real estate. Buying cheap real estate had always been a dream of mine, and boy did I find the deals there. But that’s a story for another day.

I met a Realtor there that used the computer quite a bit. He was on eBay pretty much every day. Well I started asking him questions and one thing led to another and when I returned home, I started Selling on eBay.

I started selling miscellaneous items. Find an item, do an auction, sell the item, pack and ship, then do it again. What a pain in the neck. Then I came up with a better way.

I decided that I wanted to make one auction and sell many items. Maybe a boatload of items with one auction. Well there is only two ways to get that many items to sell. One way is to build, or make, the items. The other way, is to buy them. Preferably wholesale.

So like any good businessman I checked eBay for what was selling. Back then they had a special link for Hot Products. To be listed in that area the auction had to have so many buyers. Well I found my product. And no, I won’t tell you what it was.

I placed my first auction. I placed an auction offering 500 units at $19.95 each. Now keep in mind that I didn’t even have one of these units, let alone 500. Well my auction started and I eagerly watched.

Did you ever seen that old commercial for IBM? There were a bunch of people sitting in this office. They were all watching a web page counter, on a computer screen. Each count was a sale of their product. The first click came and everyone cheered and clapped. The second one came, third, fourth….

Then the counter starts to spin like crazy. It finally dawns on them that they have no clue what to do with all of these orders coming in. The counter went into the hundreds of thousands within seconds.

Well that was almost like my eBay experience. Fortunately, I limited my first auction to 500 units. Later on I was making 2 trips to the post office every week. Each time I would wheel in between 400 to 600 Priority Mail packages. All of them with Delivery Confirmation attached. Boy did those people love me? Yeah, right.

Selling on eBay may be one of the easiest way to make money, today, right now.

brings you another great way to make a few bucks. I mean if you can make a few bucks here and there AND keep it for yourself, you are well on your way to making some good money. I mean let’s face it. If all the houses in a neighborhood sell for $150,000 and one sells as a foreclosure for $38,000. It’d be a safe bet that the buyer will make some money. But he had the $38,000 ot begin with. So we will use these methods to save a few bucks and build a nest egg.

This Easiest Way to Make Money Deals with Pawn Shops

Yes, pawn shops again. This time a little differently.

I learned about this from an older gentleman that owned a pawn shop in Southern Colorado. I would go talk to him for time-to-time. He had been arround the block several times and was pretty sharp.

Here’s the deal.

1.) Put an ad in your local classified paper, newspaper, on bullitin boards or anywhere people will see it. The ad will say something like:

WANTED: Pawn Tickets. If you have pawned an item and are not going to redeem it, I will buy your ticket. All items considered. Put a some fast money in your pocket today. Call XXX-XXX-XXXX.

2.) Sit and wait for the phone to ring. If you put your ad somewhere people will see it, the phone will ring.

3.) When someone calls get the details of what they pawned and how much they owe to redeem the ticket. In the past when I did this I normally paid 25-50% of the ticket amount. These days with so many pawn shops you need to check your prices carefully.

As an example.

I recently placed an ad to sell a few guns that I had. I had owned them for years and they were just gathering dust. I placed my ad and determined that they would bring about $450 total. After checking GunBroker.com and a few other sites, I was sure that they were fairly priced. Well after a couple of weeks running the ad I didn’t get any calls at all.

I got tired of waiting so I took them to a local pawn shop. That pawn shop paid me $500 for the guns. Not only that they didn’t even want one of them so I brought that one back home. So check your values carefully if you try this.

When I did this most items were very easy to resell because the prices I paid were so low. Now you have to be very careful with guns. You should check with someone familiar with the gun laws about how to do this with guns, if it’s possible (legal) at all.

4.) After you strike a deal with the ticket holder you need to pay him. I always meet the seller at the pawn shop. I stand there as a friend while he hands over the ticket and gets the total due. I then fork over the cash and collect my items.

One advantage is that it should be hard to get stolen items. Most pawn shops check everything they get for stolen merchandise.

I have bought pawn tickets from people for brand new items. One guy went to Sears and used his credit card to buy a tool. He then took the tool to a pawn shop to get some cash. He then answered my ad and I bought the ticket, and the item.I got the item for less than 1/2 the new price.

Things to remember:

Know your values

Meet the seller at the pawn shop

Stay away from firearms until you check with a lawyer

Check your local laws to make sure this is legal in your area

Laws always change. Every time you come up with a way to make good money, it’s like a little water leaking form a dike. Then some Gov’t official sticks his finger in the dike. Make sure and check your local laws. You don’t want that Gov’t guy sticking his finger in your dike.

Easiest Way to Make Money – The Secret to One of the Easiest Ways I Know

Welcome back to Easiest Way to Make Money. In the last article I told you “In the next post I will tell you a very easy way to make a few extra bucks on our long journey to find the Easiest Way to Make Money”. Well it doesn’t get much easier than this.

There is money all around us, we just need to learn how to see it. The good news is that we can be trained to see this money that is all around us once we know the secrets. The secret to making money.

The first secret is that there are really no secrets. Just some hidden knowledge that we can absorb. Let’s look at one place where you can pretty much always find some money.

Garage Sales.

That’s right, simple garage sales. But not just garage sales but pretty much anyhere something used is sold. Thrift stores, flea markets, even classified ads.

Let me give you a couple of examples.

A few weeks ago I went to a local garage sale. I love garage sales and don’t really go as much as I would like. This one happened to be across the street from my daughter’s house so I walked over.

They had a few items but one that caught my eye was an electronic keyboard. It was a Yamaha PSR-275 which meant nothing to me at the time. They wanted $10 for it, which did mean something.

This thing was so fancy that I couldn’t imagine it not being worth more than that. Well they took $7 and I was on my way.

The first thing I did was plug the make and model number into Google. Up popped a few listings including one on Amazon. Seems Amazon didn’t have any new ones but there was a used one for $160. Now we’re getting somewhere.

After checking a few more links I posted an ad on Craigslist with a price of $75. Now I wish I could tell you that it sold right away but that would have been too easy.

Success or Failure?

You tell me. I left the ad up for approx 2-3 weeks. I got a couple people interested but no takers. I got tired of waiting so I took the keyboard to a pawn shop. They gave me $40 for it. Of I had taken it straight to a pawn shop then a $40 return on a $7 investment in one day would have been pretty good. I mean where else can you get a one day return of approx 571%?

Another quick example. I had followed and read the Yahoo group, Mixer-Owners. Well back in January I went to a garage sale. They had a funny looking kitchen appliance. It was thrown in the box with a bunch of parts.

Welcome to the Easiest Way to Make Money site. We will try and uncover some easy ways to make some money.

We all know that it’s not hard to make money. You can pick a can or two up off the ground, take them to a recycle center and get a few cents. Not much, but it is money. Pretty much anyone can get a paper route or have a garage sale and make a few bucks. Near where I live we see people standing on street corners with signs all the time.

In our efforts to find the Easiest Way to Make Money, we will cover ways to make small amounts of money as well as ways to make larger amounts of money.

One of the first things we need to cover is the way we think about money. Let’s define money.

Several years ago I visited my sister. Her son was all excited as someone had just given him a small boat. Nothing special but it was solid. It looked like a very small motor boat with a bow cover and windshield.

When I was visiting I noticed that my nephew started walking on the bow of the boat.

Me: You know you’re going to break your boat

Kid: What do I care, I didn’t pay anything for it?

Me: No, but it may be worth something to someone else.

Now this young man fancied becoming an entrepreneur some day. He wanted to make some money but wasn’t really sure what money was.

Anyway I talked to him a few weeks later. It seems they had a garage sale and someone offered him $50 for that boat.

I asked him if he still thought breaking the boat was Ok. He didn’t really didn’t have an answer that time.

We all walk past money every day. We just need to learn how to spot it and then cash in on it.
